City operations are divided into the following departments:
- Administration
- Animal Control
- Building and Zoning
- Parks and Recreation
- Police
- Public Works
The city employs 95 full-time and several dozen part-time / seasonal employees.
Fire & EMS Services
The city does not provide fire protection or emergency medical service. Fire protection and emergency medical service are provided by either the community or West Overland Fire Protection Districts which are separate political subdivisions from the city and levy their own property tax.
