ST. ANN POLICE DEPARTMENT AND WEST OVERLAND FIRE DEPARTMENT ARE HOSTING A CERT CLASS

 

Any residents 18 years of age or older that are interested in becoming a member of the Citizens Emergency Response Team can pick up an application from the police clerk during normal business hours.  The classes will meet one night a week for 6 weeks.  The exact date is yet to be determined.  The training is free and each student will be provided a CERT bag with emergency supplies upon completion of the course.  Training topics include Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Fire Suppression, Disaster Medical Operations, and Light Search and Rescue.  The purpose of the CERT training is to provide citizens with the basic skills required to handle virtually all their own needs and then respond to their communities needs for the first 3 days in the aftermath of a disaster.  If you have any questions please contact Lt.
