The ultimate goal of the entire DARE program is to significantly reduce/eliminate the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs and the use of violent behavior by young people. The 5th/6th grade DARE is the first phase in a three component comprehensive curricula that continues in 7th and the 9th grade levels. Elliot Miller is our DARE Officer.

The objectives of DARE is to help students develop the capacities needed to enable them to take charge of their lives with the emphasis on a healthy, pro-social decisions regarding non-substance use and non-abuse. Students will understand the physical, emotional, social, and legal risks and effects of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and inhalants on their developing minds and body. Students will expand thier knowledge about a variety of positive things to do in their school and community in (pro-social behavior) engaging in activities rather than alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs.
